Biomethane Offtake Site

Biomethane Sites are remote and often in very rural locations. They provide a fundamental step towards a net zero future by provide a clean form of gas from what otherwise would be waste products.

Critical National Infrastructure

Connected to the National Grid, Offtake sites are often unmanned and situated in remote locations. This creates security challenges, monitoring and maintenance challenges. Brand deployed it’s military grade security solution into NGN’s offtake sites reducing engineer visits by in excess of 80% due to reliable communications and effective remote monitoring and management.

What is Biomethane?

Biomethane plants start by breaking down organic matter with bacteria in an oxygen-free environment, a process known as Anaerobic Digestion (AD). The resulting biogas contains a mix of carbon dioxide and methane. The carbon dioxide is split off from the methane, other impurities removed, and then the resulting biomethane is injected into the gas grid.
